Superpowers & superheroes! All humans inherently have superpowers; from the moment we take our first breath & before, growing in our mother's womb, we are bestowed with extraordinary abilities!
Every facet of our body & mind is superb, from our ability to see, taking in light photons that reflect off objects, creating
an image in our minds; interpreting those signals into an array of colours — depending on the atomic structure of what we are observing.
Converting analogue sound waves into electrical signals that our brain processes into speech, music, noise — feeding our perceptions & comprehensions.
The aesthetics of life — that's digital in a way! Humans & animalkind alike, have been doing that for thousands & millions of years; well before the advent of technology!
These are just a minute fraction of the powers we possess as 'regular' human beings.
The Spectrum Saga is a story that explores the pursuit of peace, justice and liberty — the trials and tribulations of conflict, the human stories of a complex world.
A superhero story of spirituality, discovery, appreciation & humility to a greater force, a character tethered to reality, albeit endowed with supernatural and supernal abilities intertwined with those magnificent human qualities that make us all powerful creatures;
to confront the challenges in a realm fraught with corruption, conflict & chaos!
About the Author
Bilal Teffaha has endeavored on this writing journey for well over a decade in the making. Incepted by a desire to negate & confront the negative tropes, prejudices & mischaraterisations of The Levant - its rich heritage, aesthetic cultures, ancient religious history & civilizations.
The question was how to overcome the inordinate cartoonish & villainous perceptions being molded in real-life media & pop-culture, by countering with intellectual content that explores the philosophical, religious, political & anthropological histories in a fictional tale.
Originating from Lebanese heritage with Palestinian roots, Bilal, as many from the Lebanese diaspora, migrated at a young age; his family settled in Melbourne, Australia where he became established, & as shared by the stories protagonist - found a calling in the administration of Justice & Law.
Beyond everyday life, Bilal is a Husband & Father; an apprentice of many hobbies, albeit a master of none - musical leanings through guitar and keyboard, writing & poetry, semi-handyman & reluctant renovator! A self-titled Hysteria-‘Media’tor through his YouTube Channel “Al Jazara Expositions” - & a student of history, science, philosophy, & the great outdoors through a love of hiking and adventure!
